MAHRAH, Sept. 03 (Saba) - Coastguards Authority have captured weapons with five Somali fishermen off al-Ghaidah coast of Mahrah governorate.A source at the Interior Ministry said that the five Somali, aged between 21 – 35, were arrested while they were in their fishing boat, possessing machine guns, RPG shells, explosives and ammunition. The Somali fishermen were sent to the competent prosecution to complete the legal procedures.
On the other hand, security bodies have arrested about 107 African immigrants from Nigeria, Chad and Sudan
The immigrants were sent to jail in Hodeidah governorate, security sources said, adding that two of them were normally died.
Worth mentioning is that the island has received last month more than 500 African immigrants most of them are Sudanese. Investigations revealed that they were attempting to sneak to Saudi Arabia.
