Saleh attends Libya celebration on Revolution Day

TRIPOLI, Sep. 01 (Saba) - President Ali Abdullah Saleh attended on Tuesday along with his Libyan counterpart Muammar al-Qaddafi the grand celebration held in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Al-Fatih Revolution Day.

The celebration was attended by several Presidents, Kings and Princes from friendly and brotherly countries as well as high-level delegations all over the world.

The celebration included a military parade, in which a number of symbolic units of the armed forces from the States of the African Union as well as from neighbouring and friendly states.

Earlier, Saleh and al-Qaddafi have held talks on mutual cooperation aspects between the two countries and ways to promote them.

The two leaders also talked about the latest developments in the regional and international levels, topped by the situation in Palestine, Iraq, Sudan and Somalia.
